Nokia has announced a new navigation edition of the 5530 XpressMusic phone that offers 3G and navigation capability. The nav feature is good for as long as the phone lives without any additional fees, which is a big plus. The nav edition also ships with the Nokia car kit and voice prompts for Ovi Maps. The car kit included with the phone features a car charger, car holder, rotating swivel adapter, and an easy mount. The GPS features traffic update, weather forecasts, and 3D landmarks. Nokia announced their next touch screen venture in the XpressMusic line up. This time it’s called the 5230. It will have the benefits of 3G as well as GPS navigation. Nokia announced the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition.The new version appears aimed to counter the rise of iPhone turn-by-turn GPS apps by giving owners unlimited subscriptions to Ovi Maps for both car-based and pedestrian navigation.Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition will be available starting this quarter, for €285 (about $405) before taxes and subsidies.
